Is the Glashütte Original SeaQ a real dive watch?

Yes. The standard SeaQ is rated to 200m and certified to DIN 8306 and ISO 6425, which is a stricter test regime than most luxury divers submit to.

What size is the SeaQ 1-39-11?

39.5mm across, about 12.15mm thick, on a steel bracelet, rubber or textile strap. It is one of the few genuinely wearable dive watches at this level.

What is the SeaQ based on?

The Spezimatic Type RP TS 200, a 1969 dive watch made in Glashütte for East German use. The bezel, numerals and case profile all come from it.

SeaQ or Rolex Submariner?

The SeaQ is smaller, better finished and far rarer. The Rolex is more liquid and more recognised. If you have owned a Submariner and want something nobody else has, this is the move.

Is the SeaQ hard to find?

Production is small and Glashütte Original has a thin retail network, so specific dial and bracelet combinations take work to locate. That is sourcing, and it is what we do.
